a wedding on the waterfront
fort walton beach, florida
one of the reasons why i love photography so much is its ability to allow you into spaces of intimacy.
meg and I met in accra, ghana, studying abroad as fresh 21 year olds. we lived in a bungalow of seven girls, with one working bucket shower, propane stove, and a thriving night market only a few steps away. on the night before the wedding, i flew out to fort walton and stayed at a studio airbnb with meg and her bridesmaids. how very intimate it is to know a friend from one chapter of your life to another, and be trusted in these scenes of tenderness.
floridian sun flares, cake + pedialyte stocked in the fridge, limbo on the dance floor, switching out heels to matching white converse, taking shots with meg + ethan at the end of the night; too many good moments from this weekend to count.
shot with canon r6 24-70, nikon f60, ricoh gx50 // film: portra 400, kodak ultramax 400
